Things to do

Strathardle and Glenshee is the ideal place to relax.  The slower pace of life, the beautiful scenery .. just being here helps you unwind!

How about a gentle stroll rounded off with tea and a scone?  Or a day’s fishing on one of the area’s rivers?  Perhaps a round of golf on one of Scotland’s highest golf-courses takes your fancy?  All this and much more is right on your doorstep here in the glens!

If you’re in the area towards the end of August, be sure to visit the Strathardle Highland Gathering.

When you’re out and about keep your eyes open.  You never know what you might see.  Roe, fallow and red deer are all here, even at low levels – just keep an eye out for them.  If you're lucky you might also glimpse a red squirrel: under threat elsewhere, they thrive here!  It’s also quite possible that you’ll see a buzzard or two wheeling lazily around overhead.  Up in the hills you’ll possibly see red deer, mountain hare, grouse or ptarmigan.
