Glenshee Curling Club

Glenshee Curling ClubThe Club was instituted in 1875 and admitted to the Royal Caledonian Curling (RCCC) in 1880. The emphasis of Club activities is to enjoy curling. As a result over recent years all Club games have been played at the Pitlochry Athol Ice Rink. With the exception of the occasional outdoor game and an annual game against Blairgowrie (The Famous Turkey Dinner), all games are between pre-drawn teams from within the Club.

We are the custodians of a substantial number of historic and valuable trophies which are up for grabs at our annual points match. This is normally followed by a meal and several shandies at the Bridge of Cally Hotel. Should you be interested in having a go and would be able to commit to playing about four games a year, please contact in the first instance, Roy Farquharson on Blairgowrie 874949. Other committee members such as Graham McCabe or Steve Myers can always be found on the Glenshee Ski Slopes during the winter.

Annual membership is £10
Concessions £5

Strathardle Archers

Strathardle ArchersSpending some time in the wilds on the weekend is the dream of many a hard worker in our demanding world. Which is one reason people are attracted to Field Archery.

Our sport is available year round to members and provides the facility for you to compete or simply shoot for pleasure. Just looking at the range of equipment at the club is fascinating. One archer uses a traditional long bow as used during the middle ages, while another may prefer the incredible speed of a modern compound bow incorporating cams and pulleys. All are welcome at our club.

Adult or family membership is inexpensive.
