Fishing

Salmon and brown trout angling is seasonally available at several locations within Glenshee and Strathardle.  Details of a number of the area's beats are contained in the publication "Angling in Tayside", which is available from Crockarts, Gunmakers and Fishing Tackle, in Blairgowrie (tel: 01250-872056),  or from Perth and Kinross Council Economic Development Department (01738-477940).

Rods and permits are available from landlords and Crockarts.  Kate Fleming, Shooting and Fishing in Blairgowrie (tel: 01250-873990) also has rods for hire, and issues permits for fishing on the River Ericht from Blairgowrie south to its confluence with the River Isla.

Glenkilrie - Approximately one mile of single bank fishing.  Maximum of 3 rods allowed.  £12 per rod per day.  Call 01250-882241 or e-mail info@glenkilrie.co.uk.

Dalmunzie Highland Cottages have a loch stocked with brown trout, and 2 rods for hire.  For more information call 01250-885226, or e-mail enquiries@dalmunziecottages.com.

Cray Fishing - Approximately two miles off both banks of trout and salmon fishing. Max 4 rods allowed. £25 per rod per day. Call 01250-882269, or e-mail pamcray@aol.com.
